Where is the time going this year? the last month has just flown by! Last month I announced that was being published in the September Edition of Your Investment Property Magazine, well I was wrong - it is now appearing in Your Mortage magazine which will hit the shops on 18th September. Over the last month, we have completed 2 property rejvenations and conducted our first "planning your renovation" workshop - which was a huge success. Following the workshop I took a couple of days off to head North to the Great Lakes area in coastal NSW with the family. It was fabulous to spend 4 days among the gum tree's and birds. Had lots of fun kayaking and walking along sunny beaches!It was great to meet a few familar faces at the Lifestyle Expo which was on at Fed Square last weekend. Urban Sensations had a stall along with Lifestyle refocus.
This month I am really excited by our guest business section. I was talking with Melissa, from the F2.8 Group (a Melbourne based photography group) a month or so ago about how the Victorian bushfires really make you think about the things that are really precious. The REIV June quarter medians revealed that two-bedroom houses in the outer east had the largest increase in median price of houses in Melbourne. The median price of a two-bedroom house in the outer east increased by 13.6 per cent from $347,625 to $395,000 which is a very strong result compared to the increase in the metropolitan median of nine per cent over the quarter. this increase in median price is largely due to first home owners. So where is the Outer East you say - these are 20+ km East from the CBD. Think Rowville, Ferntree Gully, Narre Warren, Upway and the like. Like to read more click here

When replacing doors remember that the door frame may no longer be square, so your new door may look crooked or there may be a "gap" at either the top or bottom! To make sure that this doesn't happen to you, when measuring the door size make sure that you measure the width of the existing door opening at both the top and the bottom.
